We'd like to thank all of you who took part in Tacoma's first Christmas time race. We had over 1100 runners and walkers registered. You all looked fantastic in your Christmas costumes (the four legged runners did too!). And congratulations to those first time 5K participants!!
We look forward to seeing you next year. Merry Christmas!

We sincerely apologize for the start delay. We want to ensure all of our participants are taken care of and are satisfied with our events. Please don't be discouraged by this year's packet pick-up issues at the race. We WILL take steps to fix the problem so that day of race packet pick-up will go much more smoothly and the race will start on time.
We'd like to hear your feedback on how to improve the race. Take a short poll HERE.

FOOD DONATIONS |
| We partnered up with FISH Food Banks of Pierce County to feed hungry families this Christmas season. Many of you brought packages of dry food to the race. On behalf of FISH Food banks and those who are in need, we thank you for your generosity. The tally of the weight of food came to 239 pounds. The food was an ample supply! The food bank received a lot of mac & cheese, oatmeal, dried cereal, rice and jello. It was a great success! We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a New Year filled with joy, peace and prosperity. |

Staggering Hunger Statistics |
| Each month in Pierce County more than 140,000 children, seniors and adults seek help finding food in Pierce County. Of these individuals: 52% are children and seniors (38% children under 19, 14% individuals over 55), 98% fall below the national poverty line. Almost half are families with at least one adult working. |
