If you want to give something back to our community, support a friend or family member, gain school credit, or just want to be outside and enjoy the race, come volunteer! Without our volunteers, there would be no race. And with our new volunteer rewards program, you can raise money for your charity or school team.
There are many important and fun jobs for our volunteers:
- Packet stuffing (generally 2 days before the race) - FILLED
- Packet pickup (1 day before the race and on race day) - FILLED
- Gear check - FILLED
- Preparing water station equipment and supplies - FILLED
- Start/Finish Line setup and breakdown - FILLED
- Course marshall - OPEN
- Finish Line chip removal - FILLED
- Finish line presenting awards - FILLED
Volunteer Rewards Program
Our volunteers receive an event t-shirt and can choose one of the following rewards:
- $20 donation to your charity or organization of choice
- $25 gift certificate to Fleet Feet Sports Bonney Lake
- $30 discount on entry fee to one of TCMA's events
- St. Paddy's Day 5K - March
- Tacoma City Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K - May
- Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon - August
- You Go Girl Half Marathon - September
- Defiance 50K - October
- Santa Runs Tacoma 5K - December
*Volunteer must work at least 3 hours in order to receive their reward (with the exception of some course marshall and water station positions). Race discounts are good for one year and can be used once the volunteer position has been fulfilled.
